Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: September 28, 2025

Welcome! We're glad you've decided to use OnlineNotepad.biz.

Just like with our Privacy Policy, we want to skip the dense, intimidating legal text. The goal here isn't to confuse you; it's simply to lay out a few ground rules so that we're all on the same page. Think of this as a friendly handshake agreement for using our free tool.

By using this website, you're agreeing to these terms. So, let's get into what that actually means.

The Service We Provide

First things first, OnlineNotepad.biz is a 100% free service. We provide you with a simple, rich-text editor that works in all modern browsers.

We offer it "as-is." What does that mean? It means that we work hard to make the site reliable and useful, but we can't make any official guarantees. We don't offer warranties of any kind. Sometimes, things might break, or a feature might not work perfectly on a super-obscure browser. We'll do our best to fix things, but you use the service accepting that it might not be perfect 100% of the time. Makes sense, right?

Your Notes, Your Responsibility

This is the big one. Whatever you write, create, or design in the notepad is yours. We're just providing the digital paper. Because of that, you are fully responsible for the content you create and share.

A quick word on the auto-save feature: It's a handy tool that saves your work to your local browser storage every 30 seconds. However, it's not a cloud backup. If you clear your browser cache, your computer crashes before a save, or something goes wrong with your browser, that data could be lost.

For your most critical notes, we always recommend keeping a backup somewhere else. We are not liable for any lost data, so please save important stuff!

The Golden Rule of Sharing

Our sharing feature is awesome for quickly sending information to someone. You write a note, click "Share," and get a link. Simple.

When you create that link, your note is temporarily uploaded to our servers (and as our Privacy Policy states, it's deleted after 7 days). Because you're using our platform to publish this content, we have a few important rules.

By sharing a note, you agree NOT to post any content that is:

  • Illegal: Anything that violates local or international laws. This one's a no-brainer.

  • Harmful or Abusive: No hate speech, harassment, threats, or content that bullies or attacks individuals or groups. Let's just be good to each other.

  • Spammy or Deceptive: Don't use our service to create links for phishing scams, malware, or shady advertisements. Nobody likes that.

  • Infringing on Others' Rights: Please don't share content you don't have the rights to, like pirated movie scripts or someone else's copyrighted material. Also, don't share the private, personal information of others without their clear permission.

The long and short of it is: use it for good, not for evil.

We don't actively monitor what you write in your private notes. However, if a shared link is reported to us and we find it violates these rules, we reserve the right to remove that content immediately and without notice.

Limitation of Liability (The Legal Bit)

Because we're a free service provided "as-is," we are not responsible for any damages, data loss, or other problems that might arise from your use of OnlineNotepad.biz. You agree to use our site at your own risk.

Changes Down the Road

The web is always changing, and our site might, too. We may need to update these terms or change how the service works in the future. We reserve the right to do that, and we'll post any updates right here on this page.

That's it! Thanks for reading. Our whole goal is to keep things simple and useful. Be smart, be kind, and enjoy the notepad.

Happy writing!
